Specialty ShowThe San Diego Brittany Club's annual specialty show is in mid-May each year in conjunction with the "Mission Circuit" in Pomona. To be added to the mailing list for specialty show entry information, please contact Jack Bradshaw Dog Shows http:jbradshaw.com Although most entries are from the West Coast, we do have "dog show people" from all over the nation and, in the past, have had entries from Ohio, Texas, New Mexico, and other states. Dog shows
are much more than "beauty contests." Dogs are judged
against a written standard that has been developed and fine-tuned over many
years. This standard emphasizes correct structure which in turn affects the
dog's performance and ability to function at its best. To read the standard
for the Brittany,

A dog show can be a great place to learn more about the breed by observing, asking questions, and talking to handlers and breeders. We always have a potluck luncheon after the judging and that is a wonderful time and place to meet some very knowledgeable people and find out more about Brittanys. |
